Meet Erika Diggins

There are moments in life that change your trajectory forever. For me, that moment came with the sudden, unexpected passing of my beloved aunt. She was young, vibrant, and had so much life left to live. In the midst of our overwhelming grief, a devastating financial reality set in: she didn't have life insurance.

The heartbreak of losing her was compounded by the immediate, stressful necessity of pooling our resources—my immediate family and I had to scramble, pitch in, and worry about the cost of a proper burial during a time we should have only focused on healing.

This experience wasn't just a personal tragedy; it was a profound awakening. I realized that the conversation around money, legacy, and protection wasn't happening enough, especially not in a way that felt accessible and real. I saw firsthand the heavy, unnecessary burden that a lack of financial planning placed on a grieving family can have.
